Mckenzie's Rules of LTE-ing (Second Edition, Addendum by Pink Pickle)

Some basic rules that I've thought up for making an LTE. Following these rules are recommended but ultimately not required for making an LTE. An LTE will be placed into a separate category named 'Un-true LTEs' if these rules aren't met, but I'll try to be lenient when reviewing LTE submissions. All in all, it doesn't matter if you follow these or not (with the exception of Rule 1). They're just some basic guidelines to help lead LTE writers towards the path of originality. Have fun LTEing!

Rule #1: Do not copy entire LTEs.

This is the only mandatory rule for getting your LTE listed. Breaking this will result in "your" LTE not being listed. Please, we're tryna find NEW LTEs, not already existing ones!

Rule #2: Try not to directly copy and paste large amounts of text.

It's fine if you do it in small amounts, for example when quoting a specific source for informative purposes or whatever. Try not to do it too often though, one of the biggest points in writing an LTE is to hear YOUR thoughts.

Rule #3: Try not to spam large amounts of characters.

Although I am somewhat guilty on doing this... still! It's not really interesting to read a bunch of random characters spewed across your page, unless you're weird. You're not weird, are you?

Addendum:

Rule #4: Don't be bigoted, don't use slurs on people, be cool. Avoid discussion of NSFW topics.

Didn't think that we would need this rule, but some recent actions by a particular community members have brought to light the need for at least SOME content guidelines to be in place.
